Time and Temp

Now which thermometer should I trust?

GA! I HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!!

I've run into that all year with both my cooker thermometers and my remotes. I have learned, as a result, to trust my gut.

On the bright side, I won a $100 amazon gift card from BigOven and spent it on a thermapen that should arrive this week!

Im not 100% sure but couldn't you in theory boil water to a roiling boil put both thermometers in the water for X ammount of seconds and see which one stays at a constant temp of around 212 degrees?

My first answer was gonna be whichever one cost more.

I check them in icy water....they should be 32 or darn close to it....boiling water works, too. ice water is usually faster....you can reset those, I think if they're calibration is off....
