PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals

Peta: People Eating Tasty Animals. Yumm.
Photo courtesy of PETA, who, according to PETA kills animals, has killed "over 19,200 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. While it's possible that some of these animals were too broken or sick to be rehabilitated, humane societies in Virginia managed to save an average of nearly 65 percent of their animals in 2007. PETA found adoptive homes for less than 1 percent."
I'm all for the ethical treatment of animals, but PETA is just nuts. Check out the truth about PETA at PETA Kills Animals.

PETA is one of those groups that I just can't tolerate because they're so totally out of touch.
We dog show exhibitors use to hear about threats pretty regularly when I was showing dogs (most frequently it was at the giant Astro Hall shows in Houston) and it was rumored they were going to uncrate as many dogs as they could.
I have no idea what they thought they were going to accomplish, but turning loose several thousand dogs was not only pointless, but also very, very stupid.
I read a columnist who was writing about horse racing after the Eight Belles breakdown, and he said they were a group that came together originally to help (and did), but they lost their way. I have to say that makes a world of sense.

If God didn't intend for us to eat animals, then why did he make them taste like meat? ;)
For some strange reason, I could REALLY go for a rump roast right now.
Holy Rump Roast.... Break out the bbq sauce and enjoy. On a more serious note..... this is a great message about the foolishness of some organizations. At least that is my opinion. I say be a friend to PETA and invite a member to a backyard barbecue.....
