Have the police of your insurance company contacted the driver who caused this damage and then bolted?
In our state, the insurance follows the car, so shouldn't the owner's car insurance pay?
Also we have uninsured motorist insurance so my insurance pays me and takes the other car owner to court for the damage.
That really sucks. I can't imagine how you felt when you saw the damage:(
