BBQ Contests: The Winter Sizzler
I've always heard that New England's Yankees come from strong stock. I guess this proves it. The folks over at The New England BBQ Society want to know, do you have what takes to barbecue in 5 degree temperatures? Well, do you punk?
If you want to find out, sign up for the Winter Sizzler scheduled for January 13th through 15th 2007 at the Inn Seasons Resort in Lincoln, New Hampshire. While this contest isn't sanctioned by KCBS, it is sanctioned by NEBS and scores will count towards Team Of The Year. Cooks will compete against each other and Mother Nature in Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Brisket. There will also be a Chili Competition and Peoples choice Wing Competition.

I sent my teammates the cooks info packet with a note that said something to the effect of "tell me you didn't consider it for at least a minute!".
Unfortunately, my #2 works for Ski Racing mag and is at his business peak. And then there's the whole where the heck would we sleep thing?
Boy, would I like to do this.
