Top BBQ Cities
Travel + Leisure just released its listings of the top barbecue cities in America. Now the top three are right there, Memphis, Kansas City and Austin, though one could argue their positions. The other 32 cities are a bit of a mystery. Why are they here and how were they chosen? There is no way in hell that Las Vegas has better BBQ than NYC.

I'm not saying it is sound, but here is the methodology they used: http://www.travelandleisure.com/americas-favorite-cities/2010/methodology
They also left out Rodeo, California. This is where my backyard is located.
Amen to that Chile!
Must be based on BBQ restaurant sales or something because other than the top 3, it's laughable. Lexington not even on the list? NYC so far down?
I've been to Nashville many times and would never have considered it a top BBQ city.
Yeah, I'm a bit confused by the list. Austin #3? I lived there for 8 years and the best bbq IMO was the Texas chain Rudy's. I can only think of a handful of other places.
KC... yeah, no debate from me there. Of my top 5 places, probably 4 are in KC.
That list is ridiculous.....Denver!? Providence!?
They were smoking something, but it sure wasn't any bbq....
